User Group Training - Is it a Necessity?

LabLite SQL LIMS has an easily learned and intuitive interface. New users are trained quickly and can personalize their own views of the data that they work with. We have seen other LIMS programs whose screens are cluttered with obtuse icons and that require complex keystroke sequences to get to routine lab functions. Bells and whistles do not equate to usability. Most LIMS vendors do this on purpose so that you are forced to pay more to attend user group meetings or optional extra training.
